Everybody knows that English is the bridge to the world.English is widely used in the world.
First of all,English is the working language of most of the organizations in the world.If you don't understand English,you can't communicate with foreigners.Though you can have an interpreter,it will be more fun to communicate with a foreigner in person.
Second,you can do business with foreign countries in English.If you don't know English,it will be more difficult to do so.
Third,English is used in tourism.Whether you go to a foreign country to travel or foreign friends come to travel in China,English is used.
Fourth,most of the websites are in English and TV and radio programmes are braodcasted in English,too.Besides,most of the newspapers and bokks are printed in English.
In a word,English is very important,either in China or outside China.So English is the bridge to the world.

Meanwhile,the most important thing is that English has been spreaded in different places of the world with the British expanding in the early ages. Chinese traditional bridges are very beautiful.For example,the Zhaozhou Bridge is the world's oldest stone segmental arch bridge. It crosses the Xiao River in Zhao County.And thousands of tourists go there to visit it every year.
London is famous for the Tower Bridge.It is over the River Thames and it is 76 kilometres long.The tower is about 43 metres high.It looks very wonderful and special.It is also the symbol for London.Many people and cars go across it every day.
