A:Hi guys..how are you today?
B:I'm fine thank you.
C:Oh, i'm just tired. I slept at 2am yesterday...my mind is not really "here"...
A:Why did you stay up so late then? You should have more sleep!
B:I agree! How can you concentrate during lessons if you are so tired.
C:Oh, yesterday i went to play basketball with my friends after school till like, 9pm. I know it's late but when i start playing basketball, i just can't stop till i'm dead tired.After i went home, i still have piles of homework to do.That's why i am so tired.
B:If that's the case, you should work first before you play. For example, i like to go to the arcade to play the shooting gmaes but i know that once i am at the arcade, i won't be able to control myself. So, i always finish my homework and make that i am ready for school before i go and play.
C:But i just can't control myself. Whenever i look at the textbook or test papers, i just feel like sleeping!
A: I know what you mean. Sometimes i feel like that too. I love playing computer games such as dota and gunbound. And whenever a new game comes out, it's hard to resist the temptation to just play and forget all about studying. But you have to realise that sometimes some things such as your studies is more important than playing.What i always do is i set times that are specially "reserved" for doing what i want. This gives you a motivation to study harder.
C:Thanks for giving me these tips to balance work and play..i'll be sure to try them out! If i had thought of this earlier, i won't look like a panda right now :X
A:playing is not wrong but you must always control yourself and know the limits.

C:Anyway, what do you do in your free time except playing computer games and going to the arcade?
B: i go on the internet and check out the latest news...there's always interesting stuff on the net.
