the reasons is:
firstly,women's appearance is not everlasting,every woman will get old with time going by.Futhermore,each stage of age has its beauty.
secondly,man need to get on well with each other,which requir women'e good personnality,not just what women's appearance.what women say about ,what women do and so on are all very essential.
thirdly,if a man find a wife,good characteristic,temper,mood are all lead a happy life.
so that,men and women can get on well with each ohter.

i do not think so because a woman is not a thing which is watching by men.

In my opinion, it is sure that man care more about woman's appearance than woman do about man's .
First of all ,People often judge the others by appearance when they meet each other for the first time. And it is ture that beautiful women will attract more attention from men . there are also stataes show that a good appearance is a great advantage for a woman in her promotion ,especially the boss is a wan.
Secondly , men are much more glorified than women . They all want to have a beautiful wife and a warm family after career success . Only in this way ,will they feel real successful .
Last but not the least ,as we all know ,in the influence of our traditional confucianism and the women’s natrue of lack of sense of security ,women in China attach themselves more to their families ,whereas ,the wen are the main ensurance . That is to say ,women pay more attention on men’s sense of responsibility and ability than appearance .
In a word ,it’s instinctive that women are used to see othera by their so-called sixth sense ,while men use their eyes .
