2．The Day You Went Away
　　Well I wonder could it be. When I was dreaming about you baby

　　Well hey. So much I need to say

　　I remember date and time. September twenty second
　　Sunday twenty five after nine. In the doorway with your case
　　No longer shouting at each other. There were tears on our faces

　　3. Alice and her mother are going to the Science Museum. They are going there by underground. Now they are coming to a crossing. They are looking at the traffic light. The light is yellow. So they are just waiting. “Look,Mum, the light is green. We can cross the road.” says Alice.
　　4. This Sunday is my birthday. I am going to have a birthday party. My friends will come to the party. There are twenty children altogether. So my mother and I are going to the supermarket. Look, this is our shopping list. The boys like hamburgers and sandwiches. The girls like fruit. Our teacher Miss Fang will come, too. She likes fish. And I am going to buy a big cake and some candles. We’ll have a happy time.
　　5. Look! This is our big and beautiful school. There are four floors and a big playground. The pupils have P.E. lessons on the playground. There is a library on the second floor. It isn’t big but it’s very clean. We can read books and newspapers there after school. My classroom is on the third floor. We have lessons from Monday to Friday. I like Monday best because there are two English lessons on Mondays. And there is a big hall on the top floor. Sometimes we have a meeting there.
　　6. It is Saturday morning. It is a fine day. We have no class today. The Greens are having a picnic in the park. They are sitting round the picnic table. There is much food on the table. Danny likes McChicken and Coke. He eats three McChickens and drinks a bottle of Coke. Then he eats two apples, a lot of grapes and some ice cream. Then he says, “I am not hungry. I am full.”

　　Everybody has a home. People have homes. Animals also have homes. People live in many different kinds of houses. Animals have different kinds of homes, too.
　　Some animals live in holes under the ground. The woodchuck lives under the ground. His home has two doors. If an enemy comes into one door, the woodchuck goes out through the other. Some animals live in holes in trees. Some squirrels build nests high in trees. Some birds live in holes in trees. Most of the birds live in nests. Crows build their nests high in trees. But hawks build their nests high in the mountains.

　　There is a beautiful farm near my home. The farmers there grow rice and wheat. They have many farm animals there. But they don’t use them to do farm work. They use a tractor. We often go to the farm after school. We can play with the animals, walk, read books or help the farmers pick corn there. I like walking or doing some reading on the farm because the air there is nice and clean.
　　You can see a lake on the farm. There are many fish in the lake. We often go fishing on Saturdays and Sundays. We often swim in the lake in summer and skate on it in winter, too.
