I suggest that English can never be understood in Chinese, but only in English, for the better.
It seems that global English represents a new phase. In this phase the main use of global English around the world is between nonnative speakers. The history about this phase of global English has just begun. In this phase, the beginning phase, the status of the language (that is, global English) is rapidly developing. In this phase,the linguistic form of Global English is also rapidly developing.
It, actually, means, that global English is very new. It is not very much used by native English speakers, so its status, social status mainly, is, perhaps, not very high yet. Its form, maybe, is not very standardised yet. If anybody wants to learn and use global, at this stage or in its initial phase, he or she has to take the risks.
