In classes of college,some guys do believe that the professor should make his lecture points direct and fluent without a pause.But others hold the opposite opinion,they strongly commend the professor should give some seconds to them before going to another idea.As for me,I stand on side with the latter.
First and foremost,to slow down speech,it's beneficial for understanding the meanings which the professor gave to us efficiently,especially for the students whose grades are not so high.Actually,during classes,students need take a few seconds to absorb the ideas that professor stated because both of them do not do enough homework before the class.They just attend to the class.So it's seemingly a little difficult in totally grasping the main ideas teacher tells them without a stop.for instance,one of my classmate is always complaining about course he selected and told me his professor spoke rather fast and never stop until class over,as a consequence he can't catch up with the professor.that's why teachers should slow down the speech.
Furthermore,we students will have seconds to relax their tense nervus.It's sophisticated point that we can't keep our focus on one thing for 45 minutes or longer time as scientists' research said.We need a break to relax our body.Then our thinking can go back to the class again.We don't need many time,Just 5 seconds is ok.I remembered,one time,after getting a full talking lecture,I felt very nervous and unconvenient.I spent couples of days to recover and most importantly that bad statement enormously interrupted my daily life and my time schedule.I think no body will like that style of speech.
Last but not least,professors should communicate with the classmates frequently,for example,asking them to answer questions.Frankly speaking,a interacting class is better for both the students and the professor.During the class,professor can ask some students to answer his questions.It's good for the student and rest of class.Admittedly,on the other hand,most of the students have to think over the questions in case of being questioning by professors.Absolutely,the study interest of this course will be aroused by this way and improvement will be made not only in the quality of class but also in the students' understanding of the course.
Overall,with all the dimensions mentioned above incorporate,i strongly agree with latter,teachers should let their students have more time to think not just tell them knowledge without interaction.
