“正式考试的第一个部分是分析性写作,界面和官方指南上附带的软件模拟界面基本一致.不同考生的作文题目并不一定相同（大部分不同）,我所遇到的Issue题目是：
The main benefit of the study of history is to dispel the illusion that people living now are significantly different from people who lived in earlier times.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.
Argument题目是：
A recent sales study indicates that consumption of seafood dishes in Bay City restaurants has increased by 30 percent during the past five years. Yet there are no currently operating city restaurants whose specialty is seafood. Moreover, the majority of families in Bay City are two-income families, and a nationwide study has shown that such families eat significantly fewer home-cooked meals than they did a decade ago but at the same time express more concern about healthful eating. Therefore, the new Captain Seafood restaurant that specializes in seafood should be quite popular and profitable.
Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument.
约60分钟过后,进入第二个部分,我遇到的是数学部分,一共20道题（官方指南上说每一个部分的题目都是“约20道题”,但是我这次考试遇到的所有语文和数学的部分都是精确的20道题）,题目考察的知识范围将在下文总结.
第三个部分是语文,前6题是填空,按照从前到后的顺序依次是：2道一空题,2道两空题,2道三空题.接下来是短阅读一篇,题目1道（细节题）.然后又是短阅读一篇,题目1道（细节题）.随后是长阅读一篇,题目4道.再接下来是4道Sentence Equivalence题目.跟着的,是短阅读一篇,题目1道（逻辑题）.最后是中等长度阅读一篇,题目3道.总的来看,阅读题目占一半,10道题,填空6道,Sentence Equivalence4道.
前三个部分各部分之间有1分钟的休息时间,在第三个部分结束后,考生可以休息10分钟,利用这段时间,可以上厕所、喝水、吃东西,当然,考生也可以放弃休息,继续答题.
第四个部分是数学,还是20道题.
第五个部分是语文,前6题仍然是填空,顺序和第三个部分一样；填空题过后是一篇短阅读（2题）、一篇中等长度阅读（3题）；然后是4道Sentence Equivalence题目；最后是一篇短阅读（1道逻辑题）、又一篇短阅读（2题）和另一篇短阅读（2题）.这个部分和第三部分一样,阅读题占一半,填空和Sentence Equivalence题目各占六四.
第六个部分,最后一个部分,又是数学部分.题目分布和前两个数学部分基本相同.现在总结一下数学部分的考察范围,从题型上看,大部分题目是五选一的传统选择题,数量占其次的是比较大小题,多选题每一个部分只有1至2道,填数题也只有1至2道.从知识范围上看,所有题目考察的知识点均未超过官方指南第七章Math Review的范围,并且,Math Review上提到的知识要点均有不同程度的涉及,包括老的GRE考试不常考,甚至完全不考的排列组合、正态分布、解析几何等知识.我在考场上遇到数学部分的加试,三个数学部分有两个题目考到了圆的方程.
至此,考试的主体部分结束.”
