保护环境，抵御洪水
地球——我们赖以生存的家园，在这个美丽的家园中，人们安居乐业，繁衍生息。然而，地球是非常脆弱的，稍稍对她不好，她就会非常非常的不舒服，随之便产生地震、洪水、海啸、火山爆发等自然灾害，时刻威胁着我们的生命。
在各种自然灾害中，洪水最常见且危害又最大。洪水出现频率高，波及范围广，来势凶猛，破坏性极大。洪水不但淹没房屋和人口，造成大量人员伤亡，而且还卷走人们居住地的一切物品，包括粮食，并淹没农田，毁坏农作物，导致粮食大幅度减产，从而造成饥荒。洪水还会破坏工厂、厂房，通讯与交通设施，从而造成对国民经济部门的破坏。
洪水形成的原因是多方面的。主要是地球植被的破坏，导致自然环境恶化而发生洪水，例如：我们陕西的渭南地区，因为渭河、洛河、黄河的水，在潼关交汇，三河的水遇在一起，不能及时流往下游，整个聚集在渭南的华阴、潼关等地。使渭河水开始倒流，形成洪水。而其主要的原因是由于人们随意滥垦滥伐，造成坡地土表面失去保护物，土质变疏松，使大量水土流失，许多淤泥沉积在河床，使河床升高，造成洪水泛滥，这实际上也是大自然对肆意破坏环境的惩罚。
