why do we learn English?
Many students will ask such a puzzling question.It is a funny topic.Some "teachers"will tell us that English is very important and we must learn it well.but they don't tell why it is so important,so we are puzzled and doult if the teachers have told us a lie.
here is my only answer to why we learn English.
English is just a tool for everyone who learn English ,including the people in England,America,austrilia and all the others.Firstly,we learn it and use it as a tool
to communicate with other people in order to reach our goal,such as making friends,doing business and so on.
Secondly,we use it to read the works from other cuntries so that we can improve ourselves quickly,or we can enjoy ourselves through those articles.
In a word ,we should learn English as a tool .If you know this ,you are sure to make it!That's my opinion.

Why shall we learn English?
Nowadays, more and more people especially students work hard to learn English. Learning English takes most of the time in their lives. Why?
In my opinion, the main reason is that with the social development, working together with national colleagues does not meet the development requirement any more. We need to study the foreign advanced technologies and theories, so we should work together with foreign colleagues. For this reason, English becomes more and more important. It is a useful tool for national people. Many people who want to make good living conditions learn English hard, especially university students. Besides this reason, some people like travelling, so they learn English. They can communicate with many local residents, and they understand the local cultures. It is very convenient for them if they can speak fluent English.
There is no doubt that English has become one of the world's most widely used languages. It is very important to study it hard.
