You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
The table below gives information on consumer spending on different items in five different countries in 2002.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features,and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.

This table illustrates the percentage of consumer expenditure of five European countries in certain category in 2002.
We can see that the proportion of Food /Drink/Tobacco dominates the expenditure portfolio,all of which is above 15%.In addition,15.77% of Sweden,the lowest in the category,is still higher than any other figures in the remaining two categories,which indicates that food and drink etc.is the most important item in peoples’ daily life.
In Clothing/Footwear,Italy,famous for its luxury and fashion goods,accounts for 9%,prospectively higher than the other 4 countries that accounts for about 6% in their expenditures.
Due to the developed economy and good education system,citizens in all the 5 countries spend the more little in Leisure/Education in their life,with the range from 1.98%(Spain) to 4.35%(Turkey)
In conclusion ,the figures in this table suggest that though developed in economy and society,food and drinks are still the main cost of peoples’ daily life,compared with Clothing/footwear and Leisure/Education,whose toplines are under 10% and 5% respectively.
