一九八五年在韩国首尔，
有个女婴一出生，左右手分别只有两根手指头，
双腿也只有三分之一的大腿，
亲友看着这个婴儿都掩面叹息，
认为这样天生残障的孩子，有什么未来呢？
但她的母亲有另类眼光！
她的母亲看她的手指头，如同一朵含苞待放的郁金香！
女孩的母亲没有放弃她，也从不让她放弃自己。
七岁那年，母亲要她学钢琴，理由是：“孩子，你的手指头没有力量，
必须藉由弹钢琴的训练，好让你的手指能握得住笔啊！”
一开始，只是按琴键这个简单的动作，她就需要苦练好几个月；
多少次，她身体实在是承受不了这痛啊！
女孩只有靠着母爱的引导和鼓励才得到坚持走下去的力量。
仅仅是一首她最喜爱的“萧邦幻想即兴曲”，就反复持续练习了五年！
因为她的双手只有四个指头，
要弹奏原来为十个指头谱写的乐曲，是多么高难度的挑战！
……她毅力的指数不断攀升。
随着女孩渐渐长大，她在音乐上的敏锐天分逐渐显露，
钢琴成了她最好的朋友与灵感的来源，
不但能自己弹奏还能作曲。
从一九九二年起，她得到多次音乐奖项的肯定。
一九九七年，她举办第一场个人钢琴独奏会，
并把收入全数捐给残障基金会。
接着，她巡回演出，
成为韩国最令人喜爱、触动人心的文化外交天使。
她，就是李僖芽——知名的“四指钢琴家”
每当记者访问她时，她永远是乐观地说：
“……虽然我没有双脚，且只有四根手指头，但我对未来一直充满盼望。
