谁不希望有个理想的职业？谁不希望有个辉煌灿烂的前途？我苦苦思索着，难道我自己的一生就这样度过？
一次偶然的机会。使我真正认识了泥土。于是我的思路也发生了巨大的转变。今天我要给大家讲的题目是：“泥土的联想”。
在青山水秀，景色迷人的地方，你常可见参天大树，争艳的百花。它令你心旷神怡，诗兴大发，发生由衷的赞叹。然而，在此时此刻，你是否留意它脚下培育它的泥土呢？
或许，你不会留意，因为它是那样的默默无闻，终生只知奉献，不计个人得失。尽管人们不愿正视它，对它的事业不闻不问，但是，它们仍甘当花木的培养者，俗言道：“视培养花木为己为乐事。”这种无私的精神，这种对事业始终不渝的责任心，不能不说是泥土的可贵之处。
我常常在想，护士这个职业，不正是具有泥土的这种高贵的品格吗？
清晨，当人们还在甜睡的时候，她们却正在巡视着病房，察看病人病情的蛛丝马迹，病人的房里洒下了她们辛勤的汗水，留下了她们赤诚的足迹。她们的柔和、她们的真诚，使忧郁者舒展紧锁的眉头，使消沉者精神振奋，使痛苦者笑脸常开，在这个时候，她们真正体会到了自己存在的价值。
尽管她们的工作辛劳而平凡，待遇低下，也常为世人瞧不起。但她们却乐在其中。因为，她们的事业是人类崇高的事业，她们的工作是神圣而伟大的工作。虽然没有为国家生产一吨钢、一粒粮食、一尺布，但是在祖国的各行各业里，却遍布着她们亲手治愈的建设者。她们的成就，就是我们的骄傲，她们的幸福，就是我们的欢乐。
