For me, the most moving point in "Pride and Prejudice" is how love has changed the hero and heroine for the better - how love removed both the pride and prejudice of Elizabeth and Mr Darcy, how humiliating events turned into humility and acceptance.
For Mr Darcy, he was aware of his love for Elizabeth, but he was prejudiced to her social class and wanted to stay away from forming "serious designs" on her. Even as he proposed to her for the first time, he was still proud of his superiority and dwelt on it. It was only when he was rejected that he realized class and riches are not enough to secure the love of a worthy lady, and from that point onwards he could truly love Lizzie without prejudice.
For Lizzie, her pride melt away when she told Mr Darcy about Lydia's elopement and feared he would never come back to her again. At that point, she finally realized that she longed for Mr Darcy, just as Mr Darcy always loved her.
