Before my presentation, I will show you the photo of this great tennis player, of course you know who he is.
Who can tell me?
Yes, he is Nadal. And he is the topic I am gonna be talking about today.
Nadal's full name is Rafael Nadal Parera, he was born June 3, 1986. You can see that he belongs to the 80's generation. He is the World No. 1 professional tennis player.
So how does he achieve this? How many way must he go before you can call him world No1? Here's his story.
Nadal is from an atheletic family. His uncle is a famous football player in Spanish. He won his first grand pix in 2005 French Open. You Know French Open is famous for it's clay court, and that's what Nadal is good at. He has a 22–1 record in clay court tournament finals and is undefeated in 43 best-of-five-set matches on clay. That makes him King of clay court.
But he is also succefull in other surfaces,he is the fourth male tennis player—behind Jimmy Connors, Mats Wilander, and Andre Agassi—to win Grand Slam singles titles on three different surfaces. And that makes him World No. 1 since August 18, 2008.
