本文从“结构决定意义”的理论出发,透过《镜花缘》的历史语境,阐述小说对理想国的建构和憧憬.进而经过深入挖掘,揭示《镜花缘》小说文本的两大结构,即神话寓言结构和阴阳象征结构.通过对小说结构的文本分析,探求作者的理想价值倾向,进一步分析出作者理想价值的建构是在儒家正统思想的基础之上的.在商品经济初步发展的影响下,作者的小说初步展现了民主主义理想价值,但是仍旧局限在儒家的正统思想下.多个角度的综合考察,意在彰显《镜花缘》小说文本的独特性和价值所在,这也是本文的目的所在.
