亮点一：98条空中威亚用于开幕式
在现代大型演出中，利用钢丝吊着演员或道具飞来飞去的“威亚”技术，已为大家所熟知。本次开幕式也做足了“威亚”的文章，“北京奥运会开幕式上使用了7条威亚，我们这次用了98条”，开幕式导演刘冠麟说，这是他见过的大型演出中，使用“威亚”最多的一次。
“威亚”起初用于电影拍摄中，后被引入到大型文艺演出中。这两者最大的不同就是，电影可以重复拍摄一个动作，而现场演出只能一次成功，这就给开幕式演出“威亚”演员造成了很大的困难和挑战。
