Recently, there are many environmental issues happenedaround our life. Furthermore, the polluted environment makes greatly badeffects on people’s daily life. So people should completely focus on protectand recover our surroundings. However, although everyone has theresponsibilities to handle the environmental problems, the main effectiveactions should be put into practice by government. The environmental issue istoo complex and would involve in lots of people. Therefore, in my opinion, theenvironment issue is too complicated to be handled by the individual. Thisessay will analyze this standpoint in details.
Admittedly, every individual has the inevitableresponsibilities to solve the environmental problems. Nowadays, people face toomuch environmental pollution, which bring various bad impacts on society. Forexample, the decline of river refresh ability causes that people should stopdrinking water from the river; the qualities of air declining leads to manydisadvantages to people’s health. So everyone is aware that to prevent thecontinued damage of environment is the most important thing.
However, individual cannot generate the main change. Comparedto the pollution from many industrial factories, individual power is too weak. Inother words, if there is no measures to control the factories, the speed ofenvironmental destroy will not slow down. For instance, if the factories keeprelease the dirty water to the river or discharge the filthy air to theatmosphere, it is useless that individual makes effort to protect theenvironment.
Moreover, individual has no enough power to handle theenvironmental issue. To be more specific, it is need lots of resources torecover our surroundings, such as much money and people and material resources.So there is no doubt that government has more power than individuals. Take mycity as an example. The government ordered the local media to popular theknowledge of how to protect and save the natural sources. And then publishedthe sane policy about the factories how to process the waste. Several yearslater, our surroundings became better. Accordingly, government paly a moreeffective role in dealing with the environment issue than individual.

Whileit is true that every citizen has the responsibility for maintaining our livingenvironment. I think individual is too weak to solve the issues because of theyhave no right to utilize the majority resources. So I agree with the statementthat the environmental issue is too complex to be handled by the individual.
