Hold to Your Dreams
Everyone has his dreams,but not all these dreams can come true.People give up their dreams for this or that reason.Those whose dreams become true have at least one thing in common,that is,they always hold fast to their dreams.
Marie Curie,a famous scientist,has set a good example.In 1898,Marie found a new element in the pitchblende.In order to prove her discovery,she must get it and show it to the world.Then to get the new element became her dream and goal of her life.After four years' hard work and refinement of tons of pitchblende,Marie and her husband at last saw the dim blue light of the new element -- radium.Her dream had come true.There are many other examples.Just around us,for instance,the athletes who gain the gold medals,the artists who are popular with the public,and even the students who enter tile university after years of hard study and preparation,are all dream-holders.
Hold fast to your dreams,no matter how big or small they are.The path to dreams may not be smooth and wide,even some sacrifices are needed,but hold on to the end,you,still find there is no greater happiness than making your dream come true.

Dreams are a communication of body, mind and spirit in a symbolic communicative environmental state of being. That's it! Now that you are thoroughly confused let me explain in a more down to earth language. Our brains are in constant activity. Different states of consciousness (like awake, asleep, alert, drowsy, excited, bored, concentrating or daydreaming) cause different brain wave activity. Our conscious mind, or the part we think with, our "window" into life, only takes up a very small portion of our brain activity. (some say this is only 10%) Other areas control things like breathing, heartbeat, converting light to vision, sound to hearing, balance when we walk, etc. etc. This too has it's own percentage (small). Another area controls imagination. This area is widely an undiscovered frontier. Imagination is more then dreaming of a new car or picturing someone with their cloths off! When you look at clouds and see shapes, or wood grain and see images, this is the "order from chaos" part of your imagination. The mind cannot deal with chaos very well, in fact it will resist it and sometimes manufacture order. (very important to the dreaming process.)This too occupies a small percentage of brian activity. Then there is memory. Memory is vast! And I believe it occupies more of the brains resources then most people believe.
Everyone has a lot of dreams. Some people want to be rich, dreaming of becoming millionaires overnight. Others want to be famous, dreaming of suddenly jumping to great fame. I have a lot of dreams,too. When I was a young girl, I dreamed of becoming a scientist like Hua Luogen in future.However, I knew very well that I could not succeed without painstaking efforts. So I studied hard in the middle school and college in order to attain my goal.After graduating from college, I found a job as a teacher.Although I was very busy with teaching, I never gave up my goal. I read a lot of books to get more knowledge. I made experiments to practise and apply what I had learnt from the books. Sometimes, I was so deeply indulged in my research that I forgot my meals and time. Now I have made great progress. Several of my research papers have been published. The methods proposed in my papers have been proven to be valuable for the solution of some problems. I am very happy.The ladder of becoming a scientist is still far ahead, but I have climbed the first rung anyway.
