1. To be punctual. Nowadays, more and more people highly regard punctuality. Aim to be early, not just on time.
2. Dress properly
For most professional socials, “business casual” is acceptable. Select an outfit that is slightly more casual than what you might wear on a typical work day at the office.
3. Talking with Guests
Find a topic and talk to the guests close to you. A plesant talk could help you make friends.

Do not interrupt others when they are speaking or talk more than you listen in a discussion--these actions will cause other guests to perceive you as pushy and rude. Select an entree that is at or below the price of others, even if the meal will be billed to the company. Taste food before seasoning as this shows the ability to make decisions based on facts rather than habit or impulse.Limit yourself to one drink or drink club soda and lime.
