你的奇怪之处在于它为什么不用比较级.英语里一些词是没有比较级的,unique没有比较级.
第二题的回答如二楼所讲,这句话的句子主干为 The habitat ...is kept .by.
in which sequoia trees grow为定语从句,修饰The habitat.如果如果把第一个逗号去掉,The habitat in which sequoia trees grow extends from southern Oregon to northern California,is kept dampyear-around by heavy seaonal rains,cool coastal air,and fog.句子便对了.或者把extends变成非谓语形式extending就对了.可以这样理解The habitat ,extends from ...,is ...你看这个句子对吗?很明显是个错句.建议楼主看看非谓语,把非谓语学好了,英语里大部分现象都可以解释了.
两个adj连用属于很正常的用法,如my lovely little black cat (我的可爱（的）小（的）黑（的）布猫)
