什么难易程度的啊?
A: what can I expect in homestead?
B: Well, Norah, Hurricane Haley is about 70 miles off the coast, with winds reported to beup to 100 miles per hour. It has already damaged islands in the Caribbean. Noticeswarning residents and visitors to evacuate have been issued in several counties inSouthern Florida.
A: So local residents and visitors are being warned to evacuate. They are going to leave. But some say they are staying here to protect their houses. They say, “We’ll be all right.Hurricanes are not usually as bad as they predict. Everyone panics and gets ready, butit’s never really a big deal.”
B: But authorities say people should stay informed and not second-guess their authorities.Despite Reconnaissance aircraft, a sophisticated satellite and radar used by the nationalweather service. Forecasting the path of a hurricane is not an easy task. We input a lot ofdata into the computer to get the forecast but there are still in element of aninterpretation. Often, the storm will change route or intensity unexpectedly. Folks haveto realize that they can be very very vulnerable. The worst thing is to be caught off guard.
B: What can people do to prepare?
A: Well, they can stock up on supplies. People should have plenty of water on hand, atleast a couple of gallons per person and more if possible. Sewers can back up and watergets contaminated. You need food for at least three days, more or possible.
B: you also said people need a sturdy pair of work boots. Why?
A: Yes, if your place has been damaged, you don’t want to be walking into anythingdangerous when you come back. Snakes, for instance, get dislocated by the hurricane, just like people and end up in unexpected places.
B: A nasty surprise. One of my friends has his own plan. Well, they don’t live here. Theyare down for a vocation with the kids from Minnesota. No hurricanes there. Herhusband and the kids are pretty excited. But honestly I’m scared stiff. If we have toevacuate, I’ll be relieved.
A: Most tourists aren’t prepared to face a hurricane, but if you plan to visit a coastal spot inthe late summer, then you could hit some very foul weather.
B: That’s right. The main thing for tourists is to know what plans or provisions the hotelhas and what they can do if there’s a power outage or if the water is bad. You need toknow where you are going if you have to leave because roads get flooded and highwaysget backed up. And, what about money?
A: Sure. You might need additional cash. People forget that ATMs won’t work without thepower.
B: So, what’s your further advice for local residents?Keio: Well, whether you plan to stay or leave, all you can do is watch, wait and try not topanic.

A:Have you ever experienced an unforgettable event?
B:Yes,I have, that's one of the most wonderful memories in my life.
A:What did you experience?
B:I witnessed that chinese national football team got the qualification for the 2002 world cup on October 13,2001.
A:What did you see?
B:Because my home is very close to the Tian'anmen Square.I saw everybody was celebrating happily and excitedly. There were cheers and shouts in the streets.
A:Did you join the crowds?
B:Of course.I walked on the streets with my family for a while. The traffic was terrible. The streets looked like a parking alot and can't move at all.But it seemed that nobody care it at all because they were all losing themselves in the excitement and enjoyment that our football team brought us.
A:Sounds really awesome.
B:yes,it definitely is.
A:I hope chinese football team could give us that feeling again in the future.
B:I hope so,too.

Marry: Darn it, it is so annoying.
John: What is so annoying?
Marry: University. Since I'm in my senior year, I have to go through the annoying process of applying to different universities. I don't know which ones to pick.
John: It can't be that hard? I applied to Universities last year. If you are really frustrated, you can go to your Guidance Counselors and ask for advice.
Marry: That doesn't work. All they will tell you is don't be stressed out and think about my decisions carefully.
John: Well, what about your parents? While you may not realize it, but they can actually give some pretty useful advice.
Marry: You know, for some odd reason, I actually haven't thought about talking to them yet. I'll do that tonight. Thanks John.
John: You're welcome. And make sure you give an extra copy of university information to them. Parents are always concerned about those kind of things.
Marry: Alright, that's exactly what I'll do.
