“Shih Chi" and "Han Shu" are two of the ever greatest literature and historical chronicles in the Chinese history.People who are doing research and compare these two are usually from the aspects of history,writing or lingual style.On the other hand,there are few researches based on the female images.The target of this article is the images and presentations in "Shih Chi" and "Han Shu".Through the analysis of the differences in this two masterpieces and their causes,this article researches on the historical background,ideological situation,and the unique value to the female between the two authors.
This article,with comparative analysis of the female images in "Shih Chi" and "Han Shu",discovers the presentation and description in "Shih Chi" is more vivid,indicating the significant influences to the politics or family life; "Han Shu",on the flip side,doesn't depicts the female in a straightforward manner,and the presentation is towards more bored and monotonous.The cause of the difference may be resulted by the era,value,the aesthetics between two authors,and other aspects.
