My love is like to ice,and I to fire;

Should kindle fire by wonderful device!
Such is the power of love in gentle mind,
That it can alter all the course of kind.
爱情小诗
我情人像冰,而我却像火一堆；
这是什么道理,我火热的激情

又是什么道理：她冷得人寒心,
却不能使我极度的热低一些,
反而更啊我煎熬得热汗淋淋,
让我有热度成倍增加的感觉!
什么事比这更能称得上奇绝；
能烧化一切的火竟使冰更坚；
而冰本靠没感觉的寒气凝结,
竟然有神妙的诀窍使火点燃?
高洁的心中就有这爱的力量,
而它能改变万物的自然倾向.
