理论上,两个异族人结合,是将两个不同的世界加在一起,生活应该更丰盛.事实上却不然,异族鸳鸯并不能同时得到两个不同的世界,通常是其中一方放弃自己的世界,适应另一方的世界.

我有好些混血儿朋友,亦有混血的表弟妹,但我从来未能完全了解他们的心态,不是没问过,而是他们自己也说不出个所以然来.我想他们也很混乱,很难弄清楚自己像什么人多一点.在我们眼中,他们像西方人,在西方人眼中,他们像东方人——这点不难了解,人看异族人,都是先找寻不同之处,混血儿身上有东、西方人的特征,所以在两种人眼中,他们都是异族人,这的确把他们也弄胡涂了.
