倪若水,恒州槀城人.开元初年,先后任中书舍人、尚书右丞,出京任汴州（现河南开封）刺史.他的治政理念崇尚清静,所以百姓和官员都很安乐.又增修了孔子庙堂及州县学堂,劝勉书生努力读书,汴州因此儒教非常盛行,黄河汴州一带对倪若水称赞不已.

笔者不是文史大家，所记内容却比文笔雄健的欧阳修们撰写的《倪若水传》更翔实、更有趣；拙作不是国史，却比国史传记更可信。
