One night a hotel caught fire,and the people who were staying in it ran out in their night clothes．
Two men stood outside and looked at the fire．
“Before I came out,” said one,“I ran into some of the rooms and found a lot of money． People don't think of money when they're afraid． When anyone leaves paper money in a fire,the fire burns it． So I took all the bills that I could find．No one will be poorer because I took them．”
“You don't know my work,” said the other．
“What is your work?”
“I'm a policeman．
“Oh!” cried the first man． He thought quickly and said,“And do you know my work?”“No,”said the policeman．
“I'm a writer． I'm always telling stories about things that never happened．”
About Library
Every Saturday morning,I get up at six in order to find a seat in the library.
I like the quiet atmosphere in the library,which makes me deeply absorbed in my study.Besides,there are reference books in the library which provide timely guidance to help me solve my problems.
At home people come and have some talking,but others are working.Inevitably,there are often noises around the house which make me nervous and cannot concentrate on my study.
For the reasons mentioned above,I like to study in the library.
An Exciting Sports Meeting
On the morning of November 11,we had the opening ceremony of the Fourth Hangzhou Middle School Sports Festival.Each class gave a fantastic performance.
The next day,we had an exciting sports meeting.A lot of players were in it.All the others just watched the sports meeting.Some were busy writing articles about it.
Boys and girls 100 meters races were the most exciting games.The relay races were exciting,too.Everyone cheered for the competition and everyone did their best.When they scored for their own class,everyone was so excited that they jumped to their feet.
The sports meeting ended on the three days later.We were tired but all of us were so happy.
Changes in People's Life
Profound changes have taken place in people's lives in the past 20 years.
In the past,people kept in touch with relatives or friends mainly by sending letters .And sometimes they can even communicate with each other by asking someone to send the messages.They can only listen to the radio for news and see other program on TV.
In the recent time,some families are wealthy enough to send their children to school in their own cars.More and more people live in big and bright apartments with several rooms.

They inquired to their teacher,Socrates,where the joy lies.Socrates said that,"You help me to make a ship first!" The young people seek the joyful matter to put temporarily one side,and looks for the ship,builds the tool,uses many times,makes a boat.The dugout canoe launched.At the same time with joint forces rows.At the same time with one voice sings.Socrates asked that,"Children,are you happy?" The student answers in chorus:"Joyful extremely!"
