1. tap vi/vt意思是用手指或足轻敲东西,用法中的固定搭配有：tap sb. on the shoulder/arm等身体部位；如果敲击物品则可用tap sth. on/against sth.:如tap one's fingures on the tabletop用手指敲桌子；如果用tap with则选用了tap的不及物用法,指“用...敲”如tap with both hands等.没有tap by 的用法,被动语态be tapped by除外.
2. 在某人几岁的时候有精确和不精确岁数两种.精确岁数的表达:她8岁了.She is 8 years old. (years old可省略)(2)女性在60退休.Women retire at the age of 60 (3)...岁以上/以下 over/under the age of . . . (4)在早年：She became a mother at an early age.(5)随着年龄的增长：with age
3. on the market意思是“（市场上）有售、可以买得到”；in the market 和at the market 都不是固定搭配.单从介词上讲,in 表示在一个场所之中,而at则表示动作发生的场所.所以如果说她在市场里（强调位置）就用in;他在市场买菜（强调动作）就用at.另外,be in the market for sth. 是固定搭配,意思是有兴趣购买什么东西.
4. 如果你指的other是代词,那么它是单数,意思为“两者中的第二者”,前面必须加the: One man is old, the other is young. 如果other 是限定词,意思有多种.如果是指代两部分或两者中个第二部分或第二者,前面要加the:The other hotels are all full. 其他的旅馆都满了.There are two people here: she is one, I am the other one. 也就是说：如果事物只分为两部分,那么第二部分一定要加the,因为第二部分是固定的.
others 是复数代词,如果是两部分中的第二部分,用 the others,可翻译为“其余的”.I only saw Marie. Where have the others gone?其他的人都去哪儿了?
如果other+单数/复数 （限定词）或 others 前面不加the,则表示“另外的”,表示事物部分两部分.
比如：一些人认为... 而另外一些人认为...（这时候人不是分为了两部分）：Some think that . . . Others /Other people think that . . .
another 最简单,意思是另一个或再一个,表累加.不计数量也不计名次.如：我能再喝一杯水吗?Could I have another drink?
5.这几个表示原因的词中只有because是强调原因的.所以回答why...?的时候只能用Because...也只有because可以单独用（不加主句）.其他几个词意思差不多,都是捎带一提原因,因为原因大家可能都知道.since 引导的从句常用于句首,for从句常用于句尾,as比较随意.
6.award 用法有：award sb (sth) ; award sth. to sb.是嘉奖某人的意思,后边常加某种奖项或钱.（没有awards一词,awards是名词award的单数或者是动词award的第三人称单数形式）
7.你想问的应该是Olympics和Olympic Games 吧?如果是的话,两者都是复数名词,动词用复数形式.
8.worry 是动词的时候,用法有：(1)+that 从句,“担心...”; (2)worry about sth. (3)worry sb. 使某人担心.
