If I Were a Parent
Every parent wishes their children to be educated well and become a successful person.Hower,it's pity that not all the parents can achieve their ambitions.One of the reasons may be they don't have a good way of education.Well,if I were a parent,I would educate my children like that.First of all,I would try to be one of their good friends.We talk about everything and get on well.Second.I would care more about their feelings than the scores they get in school.Third,if I were a parent,I would not add much pressure on my children.I would give them more free space and time to do something they like.

If I were a parent, I would treat my children as if they are my friends. Apart from showering them with love and care, I would instill them with the values and principles that will guide and benefit them in life. Having played the role of a son/daughter I fully understand the changing emotions of my childhood in the path of growing up. I would not just admonish, but rather, express my concern in a discussive and persuasive manner when my children does something wrong. Treating children as mature young adults with equivalent level of respect is the best way to maintain positive and cordial relationship with parents and children.

I would make our house look nice smell nice and feel nice. I would buy my kids the finest clothes, toys, books , and school supplies. I would find a good work. I would want to train my kids into: biking, soccer, swimming, and running, since those are the things I like to do most. I would cook delicous meals. For vacation we would go to: Hawaii, China, Disney, and Traverse city.

I would delay my baby's feeding for a while, instead of feeding him a certain amouth of bottles a day i would try to subtract atleast 2 in a 24 hour period, and start little by little because it must also be hard for the kid. and i know this is out of the subject, but what i also hate is when parents name their kids names that they can't pronounce. or also when they spell names they way it sounds like my aunt named her kid "brayan" which is really brian. anywho i know that's not doing any harm to the kid but since you did mention the smack on the face, that came up to mind....

Having been a parent of babies, I must say that ya'll are being mighty judgmental on a subject that you personally don't have a lot of the facts. I read a lot of "if the baby is ...." and "if the parent ..."
#1 there are a lot of things that contribute to weight gain in babies; not just eating too much formula.
#2 She may be stocking up because next month she has some bills due and she is afraid that she will either run out of money before buying for the baby or would have to skimp on that to meet bills - just a budgeting matter.
#3 While you say that a lot of parenting is common sense is another judgmental statement. What is common sense to me may not be so to you. It is so easy for people to look at a parent and kid in a store and say "I'd smack that kid" or "I'd tell that kid NO" when it is not that easy. And we are doing more damage to JR by psychoanalyzing his/her behavior, habits, looks, size, everything at every age when we should be letting them be kids and infants while they can. Direct them in learning by not making them make the choices right away and all the time but directing the learning into good habits. This might mean the parent taking some classes in child raising, not just reading the books - throw the darn book away. The kid ain't reading them and don't always do as the book says. You need to learn how to handle the kid when they don't play/live by the book.
And yes, she may have been misusing WIC program by buying forumula for a neighbor or family member or selling it at a higher price? only she knows and it is none of our business.
This may sound harsh but I am so tired of people 'thinking' or judging parents when they themselves don't have any or are still one themselves.

first of all i never said anything about hitting the kids. i want to hit some of these parents. secondly, she told me she feeds her kid alot. theres a problem there. i'm also in an area that does alot of drugs, and baby formula is commonly misused for drugs (by "watering down" powder drugs such as cocaine)i know she aint stocking up on formula because she tells me how "fast" shes going through it. I've always been one to help parents, and many times have gotten compliments because i "criticized" in a nice way and they liked my advice, then proceed to ask how many kids i have. alot parents love my skills with kids. i do think that woman in particular needs some help,

About this baby and parent thing got my attention. I myself is a parent of 5 girls. I have determined what is best for my kids. My kids eats alot and they are skinny as can be. They look like one of those Hollywood anerexia girls. They hate the fact they can't gain weight but it is in my genes. The parent thing sometimes parents does really need to be more attentive to their kids when going to public especially to the stores. Some parents just let their kids run around and just knocking things down. Or if the child does not get what they want the child throw a tantrum. I am blessed none of my kids did not do anything silly in public they are very well behave. No! means No! Kids just be screaming just because they did not get their way and the parents are not doing anything about it. To me they should nip that problem on the bud right there and then, rather than just letting them throwing a tantrum or screaming on top of their lungs. Common parents!

If I were a parent I would listen to the doctor because that is what he knows best. So if I need to take it down with the feeding I will definitely do that. I just saw a picture of a baby that was born at 15 pounds and that baby is big compared to another new born. So 15 pounds is a little extreme and if that baby continues to get bigger there are going to be some health problems later in life. Not to mention alot of name calling and other things.
