This was a story that is set in the contextual period of the Great Depression. At that time, America's economy completely collapsed, the Green couple along with many others were out of work, and became even poorer than before. Almost everyone was looking for a job. Mr. Green finally got a chance to go to an interview. But on the way there, he was caught in the downpour, but he still managed to get to the interview. When the company manager saw the drenched Mr. Green, he gave him a job straight way. Mr. Green was sso happy that he didn't realise that the manager was his old school friend.

It seems that everyone is looking for a job. Mr. Green is not easy to get an interview. In an interview on the way he suffered a heavy rain, though he still managed to get the interview, when the company manager Mr. Green's sopping saw immediately gave him a job. Mr. Green is so happy that he didn't recognize manager is old classmates.

The story is based on the 1929's Big Depression, when the US economy was completely paralized. Both Mr.and Mrs.Green lost their jobs as everybody did, so they were more impoverished than before. It seemed that everybody was looking for a job. Mr.Green finally got an interview. On his way to the interview it rained heavily, but he managed to get there at last,the manager offered him the job immediately when he saw the wringing Mr.Green. Mr.Green was so delighted that he didn't even recognise the manager, who was his classmate.
