As English becomes more and more widely used in the world,more and more students begin to learn English as well.For English learningm some students think that due attention should be given to spelling,while others believe that it is not necessary to pay much attention to spelling.Why does this phenomenon occur?I'd like to tell you about that.
First of all,students just emphasize on the importance of communicating and some daily utilisation.English is regarded as a tool to connect people of diverse cultures.In their point of view,they may think that it is just enough to communicate with the foreigners who speak English and to let them understand their thougnts.According to this kind of thougnt,spelling may be ignored by students.
Subsequently,students might not recognize the importance of learning English well.In the future,perhaps seldom do they use English when they work in China or get along with the Chinese.Therefore,some students may hold the opinion that English is useless for them in the future.Obviously,with the attitude,they will certainly ignore the spelling of the words.
As far as my knowledge is concerned,I reckon that the situation would be improved.First,parents play a significant role in students' education.They have to be responsible for their children's future.Therefore,parents should let them know the importance of spelling.Second,teachers should mention that if they don't pay due attention to spelling,they won't get a high grade in English.With both the teacher's and the parents' help,students may become conscious of the importance of spelling and then pay more attention to it.
