period during which the NiMH battery is to be charged.During this stage ,the battery voltage
quickly raises to the spot A due to the voltage on the internal cell resistance and enters the senior
charge stage.Usually ,the period of preliminary stage is very short .In the senior charge stage ,the variation of charge voltage is mainly the variation of battery voltage because the internal cell resistance hardly varies.So the battery capacity is larger and larger .The battery voltage increases
gradually until it reaches the maximum.And now ,the battery has been charged with a large
amount of energy.The period of the senior charge stage determines the time of the whole charge
process.Up to the overcharge stage ,the battery voltage has reached the maximum and the battery obtains more than 90 percent of the whole capacity.If the battery is charged continuously ,
the battery temperature and the internal pressure will increase quickly ,however the battery voltage will decrease gradually.So it is very effective to prevent the battery from being overcharged for a long time.
The essence of the NiMH battery charge process is the electrochemical process occurred in
