改革开放以来,随着市场机制被引入分配领域,居民个人收入趋于多元化,城乡居民收入都得到了大幅度的提高.但由于我国长期以来实施城乡二元分割体制,城乡差距非常显著,城乡收入分配差距明显扩大,且近些年这种差距有进一步扩大的趋势.
根据发展经济学的研究成果,按照国际惯例,当经济发展水平在人均国民生产总值达到800 - 1000 美元时,城镇居民的人均收入大体上是农村居民人均收入的115 - 117 倍,但是从各方面资料来看,我国的城乡居民收人差距已经远远超出了国际正常水平.据国家统计局资料(中国统计年鉴1990 年- 2006年) 计算,1990 年城乡居民收入之比2121:1 ,1995年为2171∶1 ,2000 年为2179∶1 ,2003 年约为3123∶1 ,2006已经达到3127∶1 .
