Thanksgiving Day is a festival that only belong to America and Canada. It originated from 300 years ago when a group of 100 people migrated to America and hardly survived under extreme thirst and hunger. Most people were either frozen or starved to death in the first winter of the year. The remaining 50 people learned fishing, hunting and planting corn and pumpkin with the help of the local Indians. The next year, they had a happy haversting and they invited the Indians to join in to have a celebration that expressed their gratitude for the God. This is the origin of Thanksgiving Day. Later, president Lincoln declared the fourth week of November of every year is Thanksgiving Day.
