My name is He Dong, friends call me “A-Dong”, I’m a football fanatic. I got married a couple of years ago to a wonderful woman named “Tongtong”. We have a son, named “Linlin”. We’re a happy family and I am truly grateful for the sacrifices my wife had made for this family, “Women are truly selfless!”.
My best friend from childhood is Qiao Hongfeng, we all call him “A-Qiao”. He was a handsome, cool-looking boy, he loved basketball. He was especially good at the 100-metre sprint, after knowing him for so many years, I’ve never seen him lose on the hundred metre track. I guess he belongs to the hunky athletic type.
You won’t find coincidences like us anywhere else. I’m exactly one month older than him (making me the Elder brother), we studied in the same schools since we were little, we even went to the same sports college at university!
We lived in the same neighbourhood when we were young, our houses were only separated by a wall. Sometimes when the berries from his hawthorn tree were ripe, I’d pick some when no one’s around. A-Qiao knew about it since we were good friends, he’d call me a “hungry kitten” whenever he saw me, and teased me about getting stomach-aches.
Since my grandfather owned a shop in the early years, my family had some money, my parents bought a 40 square metre house near my school. It seems small now, but it was many people’s envy at the time. So I was forced to leave A-Qiao. The old family house wasn’t left idle either, my parents rented it out.
