补充：呵呵，刚开始我也认为这题涉及到了逻辑关系的考察，其实不然。我把原来逻辑分析过程删了，既然楼上提到逻辑关系，我就再把它补上吧。这里有三句话：诗人 Claude McKay 是Jamaican，他在美国度过了一生大部分时间，他写的诗有些用Jamaican。
第一句与第二句转折；第一句与第三句因果；第二句与第三句转折
若按原来把原句、BCE修改正确后，有：
原句：是第二句与第三句连在一起当从句，这里是局部的关系，是转折，所以用but连接；
