判断的依据是看所修饰的词在后面的从句中充不充当句子成分
I've got the news when the film will be on show,后面的句子whenthe film will be on show中成分完整,所以是同位语从句.
The building which stands near the river is our school中building在后面的句子stands near the river is our school中充当主语成分啊这就是定语从句
就基本的区别：定语从句是用来作定语的，相当于一个后置定语的作用。
而名词性从句是用来解释说明前面名词的内容的。。
再给你举个例子啊。
The fact that he told me proved true.这边是that引导的一个定语从句
The fact that his son died in the war surprised the old son.这边就...
