前四题是定语从句,考查关系词的用法.关系词在定语从句中有三个作用：1.引导定语从句（这是废话）；2.代替先行词（如2、3、4题中的factory）；3.在从句中充当一个成分.
注意第三个作用,根据关系词在从句中充当的成分不同,我们使用的关系词也不一样,这时我们把关系词分为两类,关系代词（that,which,who,whom,whose）和关系副词（where,why,when）.
当关系词在从句中充当主语或宾语时,用关系代词,指人用that,who,whom；指物用that,which,当然这里面包含有只用that的情况,这里我就不详述了.
当关系词在从句中充当定语的时候,用关系代词whose,指“谁的……”,既可指人又可指物.
当关系词在从句中充当状语的时候,用关系副词where,why,when,分别指地点、原因和时间.
解题是关键在于还原句子,看关系词在从句中充当什么成分,下面我们来看这几道题：
第一题,关键是后面的从句you are not sure,根据短语be sure of sth我们知道介词of已经提前了,因此关系词在of后面充当宾语成分,而且指物,只能用关系代词which.
第二题,关系词在从句中的visit后面,充当宾语成分,用关系代词,而且指物,因此我们可以用that,也可以用which.
第三题,要注意在主句部分它与第二题的区别在于先行词factory前面缺少了冠词the,因此我们要把这个the补充完整,所以才出现了the one.
第四题,注意从句中he worked,work是一个不及物动词,因此后面不带宾语,考虑到关系词在从句当中充当的不是宾语的话,那就可能是状语了,这里指的是地点状语in the factory,因此用关系副词where,当然也可以用介词加which的这种结果,所以可以是in which.
最后一题是宾语从句里面再套了一个主语从句,主句中符合双宾语的句型,即show sb sth,因此在you后面的一整句话就是相当于句型中的sth,为直接宾语,而选项B则在宾语从句中有充当了主语的成分,而且是完整的一句话,因此为主语从句,而在主语从句中,what指的是“什么”,题中observe后面应该带有宾语,表示观察了什么；而how则是指“方式、状态等”,如果用于这道题中则表示怎样观察了,而且用how的话本身observe后面就应该已经带上了宾语才对.
