As for me,to make a new friend is as the same as the importance of to keep a friendship with old friends,since to make new friends would bring me new feelings,and I can get more help by means of keeping a close relationship with old friends,I would also feel pretty relaxed and delighted when I stay with old friends.However,if I must make one choice,I would spend more time keeping a good friendship with old friends.
For example,once I caught a bad cold and had to stay home for a week in the first month of my life in junior high school.You know,the school in China would always let students do much homework.So at that time I was really worried about my lessons.My friends all expressed their concerns,and the most affected me is that what one of my old friends did.His name is Zhang Gaoxiang,we had been good friends for about three years,we often played together.His score was not very high but he would always give other people a hand when they need help,and he is so lovely that always keeps a sweet smile on his face.He came to visit me on the weekend with his mother when he knew that I was ill,they bought many fruit for me,like apples,bananas and oranges,which is my favorite kind.In addition,he told me important contents the teachers taught when I was at home.At last,he sincerely blessed me to get well and return to school soon.To be honest,I was really touched intensely of him being so friendly,gave me so much help when I needed them.
Just because this,I think that an old friend is more reliable.After all,the time you two have known each other is longer and even know each other better,so the friendship is deeper than the one with a new friend.Like a Russian proverb says:” An old friend better than two new friends.” It is also the same in a Chinese proverb,“when the road is long enough,you know the strength of the horse.”
