Have you ever study until midnight or even later because you didn’t organize your time well?Have you ever copy others homework because you didn’t do yours?Have you ever sleep until noon and missed a important meeting?That’s all because of sloth.One of the seven deadly sins.Sloth is undesirable,Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.It can kills your future without your notice.Sloth is a sin,and we must overcome our slothness today,otherwise we will destroyed by our laziness.
First of all sloth is bad for our health.From a research of Leicester University investigated activity levels among more than 3,500 pupils from five inner city secondary schools in Leicester and found that children face years of ill health because they are not active enough.Laziness is a huge problem for teenager’s health.They’d rather play computer games for 3 hours than play basketball or other sports for 1 hour.“They are like a stone sit on a chair when they are playing computer games.” Sit on a chair without moving for 3 hours is unaccetble for teenagers.They must have a rest after each half hour when they are using computer.Sloth can kill you by your health problem,it can also kill your future.
“Diligence overcomes difficulties,sloth makes them.” By Benjamin Franklin.A famous American scientist,philosopher,inventor and writer.I’ve read Benjamin’s autobiography when I was young.Benjamin is avoid of sloth when he was very young.He gets up very early in the morning and start his daily work.Franklin is not successful accidently,his good hobbit lead him to success.As a teenager,I was really bad on this.I m more like a last minuter.I did most of my assignment the day before it due.That makes my assigenment get low marks and make me sleepy the second day.So I can not concentrate on class.That’s a vicious circle,It makes my mark lower and lower.Sloth do not only undesirable for iindividual person,it’s also bad for our society.
One of the biggest stories in UK elections in recent years has been people not bothering to vote.General election turnout fell to 71 per cent in 1997,slumped to under 60 per cent in 2001 and only just scraped above 61 per cent in May 2005.People do not vote for their government election because of their laziness.People don’t vote for their government because they think their vote can not effect the result of the election.Yes,one out of a million is a minor number,but what about a million people have the same thought?All of them don’t vote can make this country in danger.In the other hand,if workers are too lazy and don’t concentrate on their building job.The result may be serious buiding collapse.Sloth can cause very serious society issue,it should be consider by the government.
