The progression of globalization is unavoidable and undeniable. Thus, international tourism is increasingly prevailing in contemporary society. What is under controversy is whether this industry should be developed. Some hold the argument that it should be developed since the benefits it brings, while some others argued it may course numerous problems, therefore, it could not be developed. To be frank, I am in high favour of the former view.
Convincing arguments can be made that International tourism afford us a vast amount of benefits. First and foremost, it is international tourism that leads a economic booming. A recent survey shows that international tourism prevent China from the economic recession. Moreover, it provides tourists with opportunities to experience a foreign culture first hand. Thus, People can look, smell, touch the unique things by themselves, which is a exotic experience. Furthermore, it promotes international understanding and eases international tension. Therefore, this cross-culture communication enable our world more peaceful.
Admittedly, each jade has its freckle and international tourism is no exception. The reason for this is that, the large number of tourists brings numerous rubbishes. Obviously, these rubbishes destroy the local ecology and ruin the local biodiversity to some extent. Even so, authorities can take some measures to eliminated these awful impacts. For instance, setting more ash bins or making some rules to inhibit these pollutions.
All in all, there are some problems brought by international tourism. The merits of international tourism still outweigh its demerits. What we should do is eliminated these bad impacts while preserving the profound and beneficial influences it brings.
