Nowadays,there is often a lack of understanding between parents and children.Children always complain that their parents are out of date,while parents can’t approve of what their children say and do.Thus,a big generation gap is formed.
The gap remains wide for many reasons.Children want to be free to choose their own friends,select their own classes in school,plan their own future,earn and spend their own money,and generally run their own life in a more independent way than many parents allow.Also,young children wish to be understood by their parents,but most parents don’t quite understand their children.They regard it as their responsibility to teach their offspring traditional beliefs.They want them to be obedient and do well in school.Therefore,misunderstanding often arise from parents’ tendency to interfere in children’s daily activities.
In my opinion,most problems between parents and children could be solved by joint efforts of both sides to enhance mutual understanding

Due Attention Should Be Given To Spelling
Nowadays, students attach less importance to the spelling of words in the process of English study. This phenomenon greatly influences students’ writing and brings on worries among teachers。
There are possibly three reasons contributing to this phenomenon. First, exam-oriented education makes the students pay less attention to spelling. Second, some teachers should also be responsible for it because they don’t emphasize the importance of spelling during teaching. Last but not least, some students are too lazy to recite words。
Since spelling is one of the most important factors in English study, due attention should be given to it. As for me, I think, first, exams should be modified to add some factors into it, which would help students pay more attention to spelling. Then, schools should also set effective mechanisms to help teachers as well as the students to realize the importance. Finally, for students themselves, they can, through other ways, make them be interested in word spelling. Only by these can we surly realize the importance of spelling and make improvement。

It is advisable for the parents to learn to listen to children’s ideas and encourage them to think on their own rather than decide everything for the children. On the other hand, children should listen to their parents’ advice for they’re more experienced. Try to be understanding when there is disagreement with parents. Always keep one thing in min---whatever they do comes from their love for us. It is necessary children to exchange ideas with parents from time to time so that the gap between parents and children will be narrowed.
