本世纪以来,自然科学的许多分支学科中提出了大量时滞问题如电路信号系统、生态系统、燃料回收利用系统、遗传问题等.社会科学方面的经济现象中也有时滞的描述如商业销售问题、财富分布、资本主义经济周期性危机等.近来,带无穷时滞和无界滞量的泛函微分方程也跟着兴起,发展非常迅速.在我国,有些学者如郑祖麻、李森林、傅希林等早开始注意并研究泛函微分方程并获得了一些研究成果.特别是1979 年在长沙举行的第一届泛函微分方程会议,到2010年在张家界举行了第十一届泛函微分方程会议以来,在一定程度上促进了我国泛函微分方程的研究和发展.但还有许多问题需要广大专家学者进一步研究和完善.对泛函微分方程解的性态研究是泛函微分方程定性理论的一个重要方面,不但具有重要的理论价值而且还具有重要的现实意义.周期现象在自然界和人们的生产实践中频繁的出现如经济危机周期性发生、生物种类数量的周期变化等等.从而使泛函微分方程周期解理论成为微分方程理论及其应用的重要研究课题之一.因此,研究泛函微分方程周期解的存在性问题,不仅有重要的理论意义,而且还有重要的应用价值.
